Mohaather straight to QEII at Ascot on Champions Day |

Marcus Tregoning Intends to take long-term absentee Mohaather Stakes at Ascot on Champions Day.

A winner of the Greenham Stakes on his seasonal debut, after which he was well fancied for the 2000 Guineas, Mohaather has been kept off the track since by trauma.
It’s been hard to bear for Tregoning, since Haydock Sprint Cup winner Hello Youmzain was comprised by those behind that day in Newbury.
”The strategy with him is that he’ll go to the QEII – that is what we’re trying to do,” said Tregoning.
”I do not actually need to find a run in to him . He’s not that difficult to get fit, so that I do not require a jog before , and I will get loads of work into him.
”It’s been dry ground for the majority of the summermonths, and I am not sure he needs it too firm. It won’t be at that time of year.
”Just as we know, the Greenham type appears all right – horses which finished behind him have come out and won Group Ones, therefore it probably was a good race.
”It was a shooting performance, and I would really like to acquire the QEII together with him.”
