Two tries from Mark Kheirallah assisted Toulouse Olympique reserve their place in another round of the Championship play-offs with a win over York City Knights.
The full-back that was global kicked six goals as well for a 20-point haul in Saturday’s qualifying final.
Winger Paul Marcon got the initial for its hosts at Stade Ernest Argeles following 13 minutes, followed closely by Kheirallah – who kicked an early penalty – functioning in two attempts in the space of 3 minutes to place Toulouse in control.
York hit back with a try from Matt Chilton, converted by Connor Robinson, after 26 minutes, but from there on in it was the home side.
Mathieu Jussaume, Anthony Marion and gavin Marguerite all crossed too, together with Stanislas Robin heading over to put the seal and Jonathon Ford.
York have yet another opportunity in the second round of the play-offs however, hosting the winner of Sunday’s elimination final between Leigh Centurions and Featherstone Rovers.
