Garry Monk appointed Sheffield Wednesday manager

Garry Monk was appointed as the new manager of Sheffield Wednesday.
Monk has been out of work since June after being chased by Birmingham City, following a row with the board over the club’s transfer policy.
The Swansea Leeds, City and Middlesbrough manager guided the Blues to 17th in the Sky Bet Championship last term.
The 40-year-old handled 59 games for Birmingham (19 wins, 20 draws, and 20 defeats) through 15 weeks in charge.
As a player, Monk appreciated a loan spell to Hillsborough and upon his return with the Owls in the 2002/03 year, the guardian believes he will assist Wednesday realise their capacity at the Championship this season.
”I was a participant here many moons ago and though it was a short spell, so I got a good grasp of how powerful and traditional this club would be,” he explained.
”It’s a fantastic opportunity and one I am really excited about.
”My overriding feeling is excitement and watching what we can do here. We all know we have a competent squad and it’s going to make us compete as hard as we can and the quality will encounter.
”I am looking forward to working with Lee (Bullen) and a number of the other staff here and their expertise is invaluable. I’ve already had a great chat with them and we will get to do the job .”
Former Owls boss Steve Bruce stopped the Sky Bet Championship club July to join Newcastle, with Bullen accountable at the Beginning of the 2019/20 year old.
